  Clark Koechel Named BOTY (Barbershopper of the Year):  HHT barbershopper Clark Koechel was honored with the coveted chapter BOTY award at the 2010 Awards Banquet, held in St. Cloud, WI.

HHT Sings at District Competition:  Nineteen chorus members took the stage at the Land o' Lakes District Contest in Rochester, MN in October.  HHT placed second in their division (39 or less members).



Popelka and Weber attend Harmony University:  Chorus members Mike Popelka and Jim Weber recently attended the week long BHS Harmony University.  The event was held at Western Missouri State University in St Joseph MO. The curriculum included a wide variety of subjects including sound production, music theory, vocal techniques, and the like.

"Vaguely Familiar" Particpates in MINI-HEP:
  One of HHT's society registered quartets, "Vaguely Familiar," participated in the MINI-HEP (mini-harmony education program) which was held at UW-LaCrosse the last weekend in June. The program included personal instruction from the the current third place international quartet "State Line Grocery." "Vaguely Familiar" made a guest appearance in the Saturday evening show which was headlined by "State Line Grocery" and open to the public. Additionally, over 80 high school male singers participated in the Harmony Explosion Camp which ran concurrent to MINI-HEP. Harmony Explosion participants learned four songs and also participated in the Saturday evening performance.  Attendees for both programs came from locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Upper Michigan, Ontario and Manitoba.

 HHT Qualifies for District Chorus Competition:  The HHT chorus traveled to Stevens Point the first Saturday in May, to compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Packerland Division Contest. The 21 Plymouth chapter singers placed second in their class and were judged the Division's "Most Improved Chorus." Their score in the contest qualifies them to compete in October at the Land o’ Lakes District Contest in Rochester, Minnesota. Others competing included choruses from Appleton, LaCrosse, Manitowoc, Oshkosh, and Stevens Point.
